Dear Parent(s), Players and Fans:
Our substate bracket has been posted and we earned a first round HOME game on Monday, March 1st at 7pm. We will be playing El Dorado and would appreciate all the fan support we can get!
In other updates, please note that our games tomorrow at Augusta are only for JV and Varsity. JV girls will play at 4:15pm and the Varsity girls will play at 6pm.
On Friday, the 12 girls suiting up for substate will have practice from 5:30-7am and on Saturday from 9-10:30am.

Today's games against Andale have been CANCELLED. We will play these games on Thursday, Dec 10 - same times, same place (at MHS).
There will be NO practice tonight after school. We will resume practice tomorrow at 3:15pm and all players will stay until 5:30pm.

1) The fundraiser is over December 1st. If you have not bought a Nike t-shirt yet, please find a player and do so! The money raised goes towards new shooting shirts and travel jackets for the team.
2) We will be co-hosting the Green and White scrimmage this year with the boys on Tuesday, December 1 at 6:30pm in the main gym. Tentative agenda is as follows:
6:30-6:40pm Freshmen girls vs JV girls
6:40-6:50pm Freshmen boys scrimmage
6:50-7:10pm Varsity girls vs JV girls
7:10-7:30pm Varsity boys vs JV boys
Please come out and support the teams!!
3) On Sunday, Dec 6th from 11:30am until we clean up, I am asking the girls to volunteer their time to help at the Community Christmas Dinner located at St Michael's Catholic church this year. If you have any questions, please ask.
Remember 1st game is Friday vs Ark City! Freshmen at 4:15pm. Varsity at 6pm and JV at 7:30pm.

Hey Everyone!
Basketball is right around the corner (Two weeks from Monday, Nov 2) and I wanted to make two announcements:
1. There will be a players meeting at school on Friday, Nov 6 during advisory in the auditorium. This is important because I will hand out the calendar and other important information. This is for any girl that is even thinking about trying out for basketball.
2. The Parent Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Nov 12 in the high school commons. It begins promptly at 7pm. Please remember your daughter MUST have a physical ON FILE at the high school in order to participate on opening day - NOVEMBER 16. I know everyone is super busy, but please try and have at least one parent attend the meeting.

The next big thing is the first day of school and the 3 months I have to wait until the first day of practice! :-)

Dear Parents and Players:
School is over and summer is here! A few reminders:
Open gym begins Tuesday, June 2 at 7:30pm at the HS. (Main gym)
Local camp is June 8-11 and the sooner you can get your registration and fee in the better so I can get tshirts ordered. Time is 5:30-7:30pm at the HS also. $30
Team camp at KState is June 14-16. I am hoping they have a schedule ready next week. I am looking for drivers to and from Manhattan. Please reply to this email so I can get a caravan set up.
Our local MAYB tournament will be July 3, 4 and 5. I will need a confirmed headcount by next Friday (May 29)to know how many teams to sign up. The tournament is just right down the road in Derby. This was the most open weekend for everyone. You have to sign up for their tournaments 3 weeks in advance.
I will also be posting this on www.mulvanehoops.com. If you are not signed up for the news alerts on this website, I encourage you to do so.

We would like to thank everyone that helped out with our Luciano's fund raiser Tuesday night. It was a great experience for our players which raised a large portion of funds for our summer team camp trip. Once again, thanks to the staff at Luciano's, our players for their hard work, and to everyone who came out and ate or donated.

The Mulvane Girls' Basketball Program (MHS and MMS teams) is raising money to offset team camp costs this summer by hosting a dinner at Luciano's in downtown Mulvane on Tuesday, May 5th. Tickets are $15 a piece and that gets you a salad, pasta, dessert and iced tea. Tickets are being sold for three (3) dinner times: 5:30-7pm, 7-8:30pm and 8:30-10pm. Please see your local basketball player to purchase a ticket.
Girls going into 8th through 12th grade are invited to attend summer basketball camp at the high school June 8-11th from 5:30-7:30pm. Cost is $30 per player. Forms are located in the MMS office and MHS office.
Girls going into 2nd through 7th grade are invited to attend summer basketball camp at the high school June 23-25th from 3-5pm. Cost is $30 per player. Forms are located in the MPS office and MGS office.
Open gym for girls going into 8th through 12th grade will be Tuesday and Thursday NIGHTS at the high school from 7:30-9pm starting on June 2nd. See attached calendar for more info.

The MHS Boy's and Girl's Basketball Players, Managers, and Coaches and the Basketball Cheerleaders and their Sponsors are invited to the 2009 Homecoming Banquet on Thursday, January 8th.
Please plan to arrive at 5:45 pm to gather and socialize in the MHS Commons. Prayers and Speeches will be done at 5:55 pm; and serving of the meal will start at 6 pm. Coaches & Sponsors and their families and the 7 Seniors will be the first to go through the buffet line in the Family-Consumer Science Classroom.
The parents/guardians of the boy's & girl's basketball players and cheerleaders have really come through and provided the paper products and delicious food for the Italian Theme meal. Non-perishable food donations and paper products can be delivered to the office of the MHS Athletic Director's Secretary, Christy Gutzmer on Thursday, 1/8. All perishable food donations are to be delivered to the Family-Consumer Science Classroom after 4:30 pm on 1/8. Parents are invited to help decorate, serve, clean up, and enjoy any leftovers.

The 2009 Homecoming Banquet for the Boys and Girls Basketball players, coaches, and managers and the MHS Basketball Cheerleaders and their sponsors will be held on Thursday, January 8th (Time to be determined).
The menu for the 2009 Mulvane High School Basketball Homecoming Banquet is as follows: Italian Dishes: i.e. Lasagna (9 x 13 pans-fully cooked with 11-12 servings/pan), Manicotti, Spaghetti Casserole, Primavera, Tortellini, Chicken Alfredo etc.; Tossed Salad with Assorted Veggies & Dressings; Garlic Bread; Gatorade; and Cookie Bars: i.e. Brownies, Rice Krispie bars, etc. The meal will be served on Thursday, January 8th (time to be determined) from the Family-Consumer Science Classroom and eaten in the Commons Area.
The following food donations are requested:
Girls:
